Job Title: Purchase Executive

Location: Bangalore, India

Job Summary

The Purchase Executive will be responsible for driving product research, market analysis, and supplier relationship management to ensure procurement needs are fulfilled in a timely and cost-effective manner. This role requires a proactive, result-oriented approach with a strong focus on identifying alternatives and optimizing procurement processes. Regular travel to explore new markets and suppliers is a key aspect of this role.


About the Role

The organization is focused on delivering high-quality Operating Supplies & Equipment (OS&E) and Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) to premium hospitality clients. The role contributes to ensuring that sourced products align with project requirements and quality standards.


Core Responsibilities

1. Product Research & Market Intelligence

  • Conduct in-depth research on market trends, new products, and opportunities
  • Analyze competitor pricing and supplier capabilities
  • Provide actionable insights for procurement decisions

2. Supplier Management & Relationship Building

  • Identify, evaluate, and manage domestic and global suppliers
  • Build long-term supplier partnerships
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and ensure quality and timely delivery

3. Product Development Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams to source materials and products
  • Ensure procurement aligns with evolving business needs

4. Cost Optimization & Strategic Sourcing

  • Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality
  • Identify alternative suppliers and negotiate competitive pricing

5. Market Expansion & Supplier Exploration

  • Travel to identify new markets and suppliers
  • Evaluate supplier risks and capabilities

6. Procurement Planning & Coordination

  • Manage purchase orders and procurement cycles
  • Coordinate with internal teams for inventory and production alignment

7. Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Analyze procurement data for trends and improvements
  • Prepare reports on supplier performance and cost optimization

8. Risk Management & Contingency Planning

  • Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Ensure continuity of supply during disruptions


Mandate Skills (Must-Have)

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and market assessment abilities
  • Proficiency in procurement tools and advanced MS Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong supplier management and stakeholder handling skills



Eligibility Criteria

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field

Experience:

  • 1–3 years of experience in procurement
  • Prior experience as a Purchase Executive or in a similar role
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred
