Job Title: Sr. Purchase Executive – Domestic Procurement

Role Objective
The Sr. Purchase Executive will be responsible for managing end-to-end domestic sourcing across India, ensuring competitive pricing, reliable supply, consistent quality, and timely deliveries. The role focuses on cost control, vendor management, inventory optimization, and cross-functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities
1. Domestic Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and develop domestic vendors
- Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and delivery timelines
- Develop alternate vendor sources to minimize supply risks
- Conduct vendor audits and performance evaluations
2. Purchase Planning & Execution
- Convert sales orders, BOQs, and forecasts into procurement plans
- Raise purchase orders and ensure timely confirmations
- Track production schedules and dispatch timelines
- Handle urgent and project-critical procurement requirements
3. Cost Control & Margin Protection
- Ensure procurement aligns with approved margins
- Drive cost optimization through rate contracts and negotiations
- Monitor vendor pricing and market fluctuations
4. Logistics & Delivery Coordination
- Coordinate dispatches to warehouses and project sites
- Optimize freight costs through transporter negotiations
- Track deliveries and resolve delays or shortages
- Ensure timely GRN and discrepancy resolution
5. Inventory & Availability Management
- Maintain optimal inventory levels for critical SKUs
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for stock planning
- Prevent stock-outs and overstocking
6. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure materials meet technical and quality standards
- Manage rejections, replacements, and vendor claims
- Coordinate with QC and project teams
7. Process & Vendor Discipline
- Implement procurement SOPs and ensure compliance
- Monitor vendor commitments and delivery timelines
- Establish escalation processes for non-performance
8. MIS & Reporting
- Maintain procurement MIS including vendor performance and cost analysis
- Prepare monthly reports for management review

Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Graduate / MBA / PG Diploma in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field
- Experience: 3–7 years in domestic procurement (preferably in hospitality, projects, or B2B environment)
